Baselword branded book becomes an industry's must-have publication

Background

Baselworld is the most important marketplace and trendsetting show for the world's watch and jewellery industry in Switzerland. Distinguishing itself as the only show that regroups all the key players from watchmakers to jewellers, from diamonds, pearls and gemstones dealers through to machines and supply industry. Baselworld needed a luxury print companion which reflected the high-end nature of the industries sponsors and exhibitors.

The Case Study

Baselworld produced a branded book with 578 pages using a range of paper stocks and inks, as well as foils and die cutting, to create a beautiful souvenir and reference source for the show’s visitors all year round.  The book featured expertly crafted editorials and inventive printing techniques to lift the publication high above a standard listings catalogue.

Results

The book was so popular that it sold out before the 2015 show finished, with more brands signing up for the publication than the previous year. The book was also distributed to more countries than ever before and became a key part of the show’s communication strategy.
